Our goal is to aid, support, and partner worldwide with those that lead and serve on a daily basis in their community context through strategic initiatives and individual care.

Aaron + Hur is a servant-based Christian ministry that is called to uplift the well-being of ministers, pastors, and missionaries around the world. We have a passion to love God and love people well. One of the best ways we do this is by dedicating the totality of our time and efforts to those who dedicate their lives for others. Leaders that serve need service. Unfortunately, not every leader has this.   

According to research conducted by the Schaeffer Institute, 60% to 80% of those who enter ministry will not still be in ministry 10 years down the road. A handful will stay to make it a lifetime career. Stress, isolation and lack of discipleship play a part in the drastic decrees of minister. These elect, highly qualified, called individuals need reinforcement to keep them effectively at their posts. Our mission at Aaron + Hur is to partner with ministry leaders around the world in order to multiply their impact, fortify their families, and further the Kingdom of God.

The locations we visit have individual needs. Not one site is the same, which is why we never arrive with a program or "steps to betterment". Rather, we spend time, we listen, and we pray. Then, we act. Whether it be physical renovations of structures, or dedicated prayer for healing or for breakthrough in a community, we commit ourselves to helping their causes.  We desire to serve humbly and without ego. What we leave behind is only love, believing the Apostle Paul's statement to be true:

If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. - 1 Corinthians 13:11

We do not need more noise. What we need is love in action. Our heart is to model the behavior of these two individuals, Aaron + Hur, as was done in the book of Exodus:

As long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning. When Moses’ hands grew tired, they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held his hands up—one on one side, one on the other—so that his hands remained steady till sunset. So Joshua overcame the Amalekite army with the sword. - Exodus 17:11-13

We Value:

• Care, justice, and those who bring it to the world on a daily basis. We believe that a healthy, encouraged minister should not be a rarity.
• We value strength and unity in the Body of Christ.
• And, we value THIS life that we have been given.  We want to live in a manner worthy of the calling we have received.

We Believe:

• There is only one true God who is the eternal King, Creator and Redeemer of all that is. He is perfectly holy, loving, just, and truthful.
• He has revealed Himself to be eternally self-existent - one being in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
• The Bible to be the inspired and only infallible and authoritative Word of God.

Our Story

Two Midwestern kids got lost and found by a loving and real Jesus. Sarah and I have resumes, but they don’t seem to matter, degrees, but they have not prepared us, and all the smarts of the world, however all we want to do is love God and love people well. Together, our passports have seen Immigration in almost every continent, serving almost every population group. Through these collected experiences, the idea of Aaron + Hur was born.

Sarah's passion is movement of both hearts and bodies. She has worked with hundreds of service oriented ministries around the world. The cross cultural experience she has gained is vital and gives her a special, needed voice in the conversation of ministry care. She is also a trained ballet and modern dancer. No matter what country Sarah has traveled to, there is always a common love of dance, language barriers demolished. 

I, Matthew, am created for big vision and dreams. Unconventional thought, strategic planning and action excite me, especially when used for the plans and desires of others. I find contentment and joy in different jobs, tasks, and events. I love to do almost anything and what I absolutely love to see is others succeed in their callings. 

We started Aaron + Hur to co-laborer with those that serve around the world because we recognize what these individuals do is not an easy job. We serve servants and help keep them at their posts so they can remain healthy emotionally, spiritually, and physically for the long haul.
